Sarbjit

The  was born in 1951 in Punjab and came to the country in 1970 after getting married. She had difficulty digesting food due to pregnancy but eventually was able to eat and enjoy various foods. She learned to cook by observing her mother and sister and taught herself to make various dishes. She made a mistake while making besan but learned how to make it properly from her family. She became skilled in making a variety of dishes e.g pakora, samosa, gulab-jamun and enjoyed cooking for her family, including English food for her children
